Physio Exercise Tracker
Support
Physio Exercise Tracker helps you do the exercises your physiotherapist has prescribed, log how each one went, and share an honest summary at your next appointment.
Need help or want to report a problem?
Email hollowday.paul@gmail.com, or tap Settings → Suggest a tip or get in touch in the app, which opens a message with your app version already filled in. Please include your device (e.g. iPhone 15), your iOS or Android version, and a short description of what happened – that helps a lot in tracking things down.
Logging your exercises
- Why can't I log an exercise from a previous day? By design – you can only mark an exercise as done on the day it was scheduled. This keeps the summary you share with your physio honest, so it is worth something at your appointment.
- I couldn't do my exercises today. Is that just a black mark? No. Tap the exercise and choose "Can't do it today?" to record an excused miss with a reason – too sore, unwell, whatever it was. Excused misses are shown separately from missed ones and don't count against your completion figure. A bad day is information, not a failure.
- I logged something by mistake. Open the log from the Today screen or the Calendar and delete it. You can also edit the sets, reps, pain and difficulty you recorded.
Reminders
- My reminders aren't appearing. Check that notifications are enabled for the app in your phone's Settings, and that each exercise has a schedule.
- They still aren't appearing on an Android phone. Many Android phones – Samsung especially – put apps to sleep to save battery, which stops scheduled reminders. Look for Settings → Battery → Background usage limits (or "Sleeping apps") and make sure Physio Exercise Tracker is not listed there. Setting the app's battery usage to "Unrestricted" also helps.
- What is the evening last-chance reminder? An optional single reminder later in the day if anything is still outstanding. It cancels itself the moment you have finished everything, so it never nags you about work you have already done. Turn it on or off, and change its time, in Settings → Reminders. It only fires if something was due earlier than the time you set.
- Can I change the wording of my reminders? Yes – Settings → Reminder message. Make it as gentle or as blunt as works for you. It's only ever seen by you.
Jokes, tips and rewards
- I used to get a tip every time I opened the app, and now I don't. That changed deliberately. Tips and jokes are now earned: you get one of each on any day you account for every scheduled exercise, either by doing it or by excusing it. Nothing is broken – finish a day and they reappear.
- I missed a day. Have I lost that joke forever? Each joke is allocated to one of your exercise days, so a day you don't complete is a joke you don't see – at least until the list comes round again. Tips are different: they always run in order and are never skipped, so you simply pick up where you left off.
Your progress and your physio
- What does the chart on "Your progress" show? The pain and difficulty you recorded, one dot per logged session, for each exercise separately – different exercises can feel very different. Days you didn't rate are left blank rather than guessed at, and small marks show whether a day was done, excused or missed. It shows what you recorded and doesn't interpret it; only you and your physio can say what it means.
- How do I send my physio a report? Open Your progress, choose a period, then share it as a PDF – or export the raw logs as a CSV. You can preview exactly what they will see before sending anything. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.
- Can I mark an exercise or a programme as finished? Yes. Give an exercise an end date when you edit it, or open a programme and choose Mark programme complete. Finished work stops appearing on Today and stops counting as missed, but its history stays in your calendar and reports.
Appearance and settings
- Is there a dark mode? Yes – Settings → Appearance. Choose Light, Dark, or System to follow whatever your phone is set to.
- How do I keep my data safe if I change phones? Use Settings → Backup & restore to export a backup file, then restore it on the new device. The backup includes your exercises, your logs and any videos you attached.
- Where is my data stored? Only on your device. There is no account and no cloud, and nothing is sent to us. See the privacy policy for details.
